Integrations

Descript Integrates Claude Sonnet 5 Into AI Editing Assistant

Descript has integrated Claude Sonnet 5 from Anthropic into its AI editing assistant, Underlord. The upgraded assistant can help creators perform practical editing tasks such as tightening intros, identifying the best 60-second clips, surfacing standout “mic drop” moments, smoothing jump cuts with gentle zooms, and intelligently placing captions for readability. By embedding a more capable agentic model, Descript aims to automate higher-level editorial decisions rather than just mechanical edits. The integration reflects the growing use of advanced language models in creative production workflows, especially for video and podcast post-production.
